Health & Safety Policy

The recommendations from the Health & Safety Executive emphasise the employer's responsibility in four main areas:

RISK ASSESSMENT:
This must be a considered, well-defined statement and process dealing with the issues of violence at work and formally assessing the risks to staff.

PREVENTION:
Install measures to control and manage the problem effectively with the aim of reducing the number of incidents.

TRAINING:
Implement a programme to brief all employees on the company policy and deliver information and skills on prevention and recovery.

SUPPORT:
Provide proper after care to minimise and control the emotional impact upon staff and speed their recovery from incidents.

Positive, well designed programmes have benefits for both employers and employees:

  • Improved customer care from employees who feel protected and confident.
  • Reduced sickness, absenteeism and staff turnover.
  • Compliance with the latest Health and Safety recommendations.
  • Reduced risk of litigation from staff and customers suffering physical or emotional injury.
  • Crisis Management Response Ltd achieves improvements for the long-term benefit of clients by enhancing the measures already in place. The involvement of an extemal specialist will provide an overview from outside the organisation leading to enhanced knowledge, skills and attitudes. Our experience and counselling resources back this up. The aim is to empower the working group to achieve harmony for those personal, organisational and occupational issues affecting it.
